Made from straws of the plant named sarkanda, the base of the chair is from sticks and the woven rope is from its top layer of grass or leaves which has been twined into a yarn rope to weave and made into sitting.
In this, we have a variation wherein we have used cotton yarn dyed in blue or green colour and woven to form the seat part. This adds that hint of colour and style to the traditional beige colour of the chair.
